About Me

Ling Zhang (张岭) is a fourth-year Ph.D student in Computer Science at University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am part of the Database Group and I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jignesh M. Patel and Karu Sankaralingam. I actively collaborating with Gray Systems Lab - Microsoft Research. My research focuses on log processing and management, structured text search, and database query processing in general.

I received Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University where am a part of the CMU DB Group working with Prof. Andy Pavlo. I did my undergraduate at Purdue University, advised by Prof. Yung-Hsiang Lu and Prof. George K. Thiruvathukal.
